The Rebirth Of African Music

Inspired By Our Past And Present

The 18th Edition of Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition will be taking place from the 08-11th of December 2021 at Joburg Theatre (Lesedi Theatre). This year’s theme: The Rebirth of African Music Business looks at reshaping the Music Discipline after the Covid-19 Pandemic, the music industry landscape, and the purpose that it has served as a powerful means of enhancing the country’s identity and distinctiveness, while simultaneously creating employment, developing human skills, and generating social capital and cohesion

This year ambassadors and the theme itself are always inspired by our past as a nation and our present as an industry, Mahotella Queens and Big Zulu – who features on Young Stunna’s AMApiano hit “Sithi Shwi” – are a perfect embodiment of that vision.

“We believe in celebrating greatness, and that’s all that drives us as a conference, to select the best deserving talent…” says Stanley Khoza, Moshito chairperson.

Our own Jo’burg based Do It For Radio Heads are official broadcasters at this year’s Moshito Music Conference & Exhibition.  With panellists from companies that include Vth Season, RISA, Edah West and Tebogo Bouks will be interviewing the best in the industry and covering discussions live as they happen!
