Citizen Deep Scoops Best House Single Award

Tivani Mkhombo aka Citizen Deep, a former member of ‘Invaders Of Afrika’, is an underrated South African electronic music producer who should be a household name locally and internationally.  He’s worked with some of SA’s biggest and brightest stars, and this year (2021) Citizen released his first solo studio album ‘ARCADE’ (A Rare Collection of Art Designed to Entertain).   

Yesterday his Thiwe collaboration ‘Sabela’ scooped the ‘Best House Single’ award at the sixth (6th) annual Mzansi, Kwaito and House Music Awards (MKHMA).

Other awards of note at the ceremony included best Mapiano Song which went to ‘John Vuligate’, Mamphista bagged Best Gqom & MFR Souls won the Best Collaboration Award for ‘Amanikiniki’ alongside Kamo Mphela, Bontle Smith and Major League DJz.
