Congratulations Grootman

Grammy Win for "Subconsciously"

The house music community is abuzz as Black Coffe was awarded the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.

The win is a huge accomplishment for Black Coffee, an artist who has worked hard to avoid the usual cliches afforded African talent, and African electronic music globally.

The pioneering, multi-award-winning South African DJ and music producer has been working in the industry since the late nineties and describes his African rooted future-focused musical style as Afropolitan house.  Coffee is one of the world’s most sought after DJs, who consistently sell out venues of over 5000 capacity; his name on a track guarantees success yet this creative genius keeps striving.  Expanding his brand and making his mark in everything from film to fashion and everything in between, Coffee is the living embodiment of the saying ‘Africa is not our limit.  The world is our playground’.
